Oxford Round Table are holding their 41st Annual Fireworks Display at South Parks, Oxford
8th November 2008

This year a unique feature has been donated to the event.. A 28FT WICKER MAN.

Donated by Dan Barton (see the below link) this wicker man was well publicised last year for Poppy's Appeal and was donated back by the winning bidder, this year it is to be burned at our event.

The largest Fireworks display by far locally draws a crowd of around 15,000 and hope this will bring out a few more this year, we have also increased the size of the Catering Village with more food options from Burgers and Hotdog's to Oriental and Pancakes, also available are Cappuccino Wagons for those that want Hot Soup and Coffee's.

The display will be the usual excellent 30 minutes display seeing £10,000 of fireworks go up, followed by the lighting of THE WICKER MAN and then the largest bonfire Oxfordshire will see this year.
Also there is a Funfair and Music Tent to keep guests entertained.

The event is a production of Oxford Round Table members of which there are only 12, that volunteer their time to this outside their normal work.
From these 12 members hard work we are able to donate around £25,000 per year to local charities (including Helen and Douglas House).

All proceeds from the event go to Local Charities and by the event getting bigger we hope to donate more, hopefully the WICKER MAN will add to this.
