The geek nights are a way for local web developers, designers, programmers, neophiles or geeks of any other stripe to get together, chat, drink and listen to talks on new technologies and innovations.

= Keynotes =

Our confirmed keynote speakers are:

* Delighting with Data: gluing things together for beautiful pointlessness, by Tom Taylor, developer and technical consultant for Headshift
* Web 20-20: Architecture for the New Internet, by Charlton Barreto, senior software architect at Adobe Systems, Inc.

= Microslots =

Along with these we'll be having half a dozen microslot talks. These are five-minute "lighting" talks that anyone can do. Just volunteer in advance and we'll put you on the list.

Here are the currently confirmed microslots:

* Killing Servers With Music Graphing, by Andrew Godwin
* The Clangers' Guide to Microformats, by Drew McLellan
* Advanced Dragon-Slaying with Comet, by Matthew Westcott
* Hands-on with App Engine, by Tom Dyson
* Rewriting the OSX Address Book: no previous coding experience necessary, by Simon Whitaker
* PlanningAlerts (tbc), by Duncan Parkes

Fancy doing a microslot? Submit it at our online form.

= Microslot ideas =

If you want to hear a particular subject in a microslot, and would like someone else to offer (there's bound to be someone out there!) then feel free to submit the idea to our wishlist form.

Here's our current microslot wishlist:

* Compliance for processing and holding credit card details
* Shindig / OpenSocial
* Hadoop

(OGN7 is a FREE event, kindly sponsored by Torchbox, Google and Moo.)
