"SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN A WAR ZONE”
Moderated by Kiva co-founder and CEO Matt Flannery.

In this sure to be dynamic talk followed by a Q&A, Gilmore, co-founder and Executive Director of the Ottawa-based NGO Peace Dividend Trust, will discuss how social-minded entrepreneurs can make a huge difference in war zones. The winner of a 2010 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, Gilmore will highlight the work of Rory Stewart and the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, the Altai Group and Peace Dividend Trust. Each example is how business-minded entrepreneurs chose to work in Afghanistan in the midst of a war and succeeded in improving the lives of Afghans.
