Organizing for Antiwar Lobbying in Congress April 19, 2006

In Washington on May 21-22, the national peace coalition, United for Peace and Justice, will organize hundreds of people from across the country to lobby for legislation in the House and Senate to end the war and the military bases in Iraq. On Sunday May 21st, there will be a training session with national peace activists and delegations from around the country. On Monday 22nd, we?l meet with Michigan members of Congress.

ICPJ is collaborating with other local organizations to send a strong delegation for this effort. Please join us on Wednesday April 19, 7:30 p.m., in the Kitchenette of Memorial Christian Church at 730 Tappan to discuss our goals for peace legislation and organize cars and places to stay in Washington.
