Organize Block Walking October 6, 2008

From Maggie Charleton, Brazos Co. Democrats:

We will meet at Margarita Rocks on Monday, October 6 at 6 p.m. and put teams together. I will have door hangers for you, maps and lists. I have other people available. But if you know people from church or from other organizations who you can gather in to do this it would be deeply appreciated. Margarita Rocks is in College Station in the Kohl’s shopping center.

We will start walking on October 11. We will walk on October 18. I hope we are done. If not then we will be back at it on Oct. 25. Early voting starts on Oct. 20 so it is important that we get as much covered as we can. You can walk during the week. That is up to your team.

I would suggest that each team have 6 people on it. Some precincts are small and need only 4. How long can it take to do under 30 doors? Some are very big and will take more than one team in the precinct.

NOTE: I will be a captain, If you want to join my team or help on another team, sign up for the event and let me know. If you can make Margarita Rocks on Oct. 6, great, but that's not anywhere near as important as coming out Saturdays to help block walk. All volunteers who sign up and attend get Obama buttons / bumper stickers.
