Oreka TX is a Basque Spanish ensemble that plays an unusual Basque mallet instrument called the txalaparta. They travelled the world with it seeking unusual musical accompanists and documented their adventure with the film 'Nomadak Tx,' and for this performance they will project sequences from the film while they play a live score. The txalaparta consists of some wood planks placed on two stands covered with an insulating material. Wood freely vibrates when two people (txalpartaris) vertically hit them, each one with two wooden sticks.
