Opening Celebration: Bierstadt to Warhol: American Indians in the West February 15, 2013

This celebration marks the opening of the Bierstadt to Warhol: American Indians in the West exhibition.. Shonto Begay of the Navajo Nation, whose work appears in the exhibition, will speak about his work during this UMFA artist talk. Begay will discuss his artistic choices and handling of non-mythologized everyday life, as well as the thought-provoking themes in his work.
