One Day University brings together the nation's greatest professors from the finest schools to present special versions of their very best lectures. Each One Day U features 10-12 professors, and each "student" chooses the 5 classes they want to take. Of course, at One Day U there are no grades. No tests. No homework. Our professors are there to educate - but also to entertain! On Sunday, October 14th our adult students-for-a-day choose the five presentations they want to attend from the list of truly amazing classes and professors. Classes and professors include:

Abraham Lincoln: Separating Fact From Fiction
Louis Masur / Rutgers,

Gershwin, Ellington, and the Search for an American Sound
Anna Celenza / Georgetown,

A Brief History of Religion (6000 years)
Sol Gittleman / Tufts,

How We Make Decisions (and how we can make better ones)
Scott Plous / Wesleyan,

Beethoven and the Beatles: Hearing the Connections
Michael Alec Rose / Vanderbilt.

This event is regularly $239, but Upcoming readers can use coupon code UPCOMING to reduce the price to $139.
