It isn't easy finding a place to get away from it all at a home show. But you will at Olympic Landscape's Simply Elegant display at the Tacoma Home and Garden Show. The event includes loads of garden information and inspiration, and when visitors are ready for a break, Olympic Landscape hopes to draw them into a secret garden for refuge from the hustle and bustle of the showroom floor.

Up thick sandstone steps and past vibrant potted arrangements, peace-seekers will feel like they're in a private courtyard. It's a refreshing experience, as scents of Witch Hazel, Daphne, and the often over-looked winter flowering plant, Sarcococca, commonly called Fragrant Sweet Box, blend with the trickle from a sculptured fountain. Turned wooden posts of the white arbor guide visitors along a stone pathway, forming the crossed axes of this northwest classical garden.

Olympic Landscape is also featured, along with a team of local builders and designers, in the latest winter issue of South Sound Magazine for the 7,277-square-foot Idea House they created for Robert and Kathy Dick in Auburn, WA.

Olympic Landscape's Elegant Display is presented in partnership with Windmill Gardens for their container gardens and house facade, fountain and statuary by Dario's Statuary and Fountain, concrete block walls by Interwest Construction and Development, cut and natural stone by Marenakos Rock Center, and arbor by Dave Shapley at 253-857-6317.
