Ohlone Wind Orchestra announces its 2011 Winter Concert

California's Premier Wind Orchestra presents a concert of music across the musical spectrum.

Familiar works include "Parade of the Charioteers," from "Ben-Hur", by Miklos Rosza, and selections from "E.T." by John Williams.

Tyler Morse, horn, will be featured soloist in James A. Beckel, Jr.'s "The Glass Bead Game."

New works include the "Spartacus" symphonic tone poem by Jan Van der Roost, Rolf Rudin's "Der Traum des Oenghus Part 2," Jukka Viitasaari's "Dance of the Epiphytes," and a new work by Bay Area composer George Roumanis.

The Ohlone Wind Orchestra (OWO), "California's Premier Wind Orchestra," directed by Tony Clements, is a leading professional quality US wind ensemble. The band is comprised of 50 woodwind, brass and percussion players. The performs an eclectic blend of music, ranging from Bach to Broadway and beyond.
