If you count yourself amongst the happily informed concertgoers in the five boroughs, Oh My Rockness has been your bible, cable news ticker and girlfriend since its inception as a live show aggregator and journal five years ago. Their birthday present is a showcase with Norway’s Øya Festival, recognized as Scandinavia’s most important annual rock and roll event. Together they have assembled an eclectic bill featuring the likes of windy and euphoric Cymbals Eat Guitars, the intricate prog-punk of Ungdomskolen, and the cheeky proto-metal timewarp that is Free Energy.
