OFFICER KICKS : A few years ago, four lads met at south-east London sixth form and discovered a mutual love of Rock coupled with a distaste for the classroom. In ‘005 they began writing as a unit. Keen to make their record on their own terms they raised the money themselves and set about asking friends in the industry to help. Luckily they are well regarded. They honed their stage craft internationally in '006 and recorded a dangerously fine debut album - The Six Grand Plot - mixed at Olympic studios and mastered with Ray Staff (Led Zeppellin, Bowie, Libertines). Then signed a deal with Redemption records. It's due out later this year, but catch them up close before the chaos breaks out.

"Officer Kicks deliver catchy, addictive tracks with anthems that grow and grow" (Front Magazine). There's a growing buzz among music fans. Danny from Embrace recently invited them (back!) to play at Proud - to great reactions. They triumphed again in Manchester a week or so later when Mani invited them to play live on his Revolution Radio show The station, dedicated to Manchester legends, has been giving them regular play. They were invited back again.. Audiences are lining up to help them spread the word. A recent Jack Penate support was added on the night of a Glasgow gig. LOVE MINUS ZERO : Peter J Perrett played bass in Babyshambles, then, with his brother Jamie formed LOVE MINUS ZERO. A week after the offspring of The Only Ones legend completed the line up, they were invited to play Glastonbury Festival.

The reputation of their alternative newer wave sound, is spreading. Supports with Babyshambles, The Paddingtons, Cazals, The Damned etc have swelled their fan base - very much in evidence at the launch of debut single, "Psychobaby" ("A caustic riff-laden psychedelic maelstrom") then this magical, enigma headlined Harrods (!) and supported The Only Ones at Shepherds Bush Empire.

Word is out - ”I was seriously impressed by this group, so much so that I went to see them again the following night when they played my local!” (BBC Somerset) - and they find themselves back at Glastonbury Festival this year...

THE VEEZ : “The next great British all-girl group?” The Fly. Louder Girls(!), stick two fingers up to sexism, by arming themselves with chartworthy songs and an in your face live set. "Pop-punk hooks and great choruses" (Clash Magazine). Their first gig was supporting Hawkwind two weeks after forming.The crowd loved them so much they did the whole tour ending at London Astoria.

Then The Veez headlined The Glastonbury’s Guardian Stage at Glastonbury and were spotted by Youth (The Verve, Primal Scream), who recorded three tracks with them (Heart Hoarders is on the Once Upon Another Time compilation). With new studio recordings, radio sessions, a recent NME article, a City Showcase headline, return to Glastonbury Festival and a forthcoming TV screening of their Artful Festival performance, The Veez are getting set for a single release (and Jersey Festival) later this year.
