The International OCD Foundation presents an evening of storytelling that focuses on mental illness and obsessive compulsive disorder. Doctors who treat people with obsessive compulsive disorder, family members of people with OCD, and those who suffer from OCD will engage in a night of true storytelling as a way to recognize OCD Awareness Week. The Boston-based IOCDF hosts the Oct. 16 event, while satellite storytelling events unfold in New York, San Francisco, Austin, and other cities. Viewers will be able to watch the live storytelling from each of the IOCDF affiliate sites through a simulcast as well as online at www.ocfoundation.org . The event aims to end the stigmas around mental illness and educate the public on this disorder that affects some 4 million Americans.
