Free admission! San Jose's Japantown Obon Festival features 'Bon Odori' folk dancing, live music and taiko, flowers, carnival games, and delicious food. Beautiful lit lanterns decorate 5th Street for the evening dancing, which brings over 800 participants and hundreds of spectators.

Music performances feature the Chidori Band and taiko by UC Irvine and San Jose Taiko. Free dance practice starts on June 18th for kids, adults and all ages in between -- check Upcoming for the event listings!
