Oakland Youth Orchestra Presents Gala Concert March 2 March 2, 2013

The award-winning Oakland Youth Orchestra (OYO) will present a benefit gala evening of good food, wonderful company, fabulous music and exciting auction items on Saturday, March 2. The evening begins with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:30 pm accompanied by chamber music performed by the musicians of OYO, followed by dinner and a live auction at 7 pm with Oakland Youth Orchestra featuring Artistic Director Michael Morgan as the Master of Ceremonies. The highlight of the evening will be the performance by the 80-member Oakland Youth Orchestra led by Principal Conductor John Kendall Bailey presenting tango music with guest tango dancers and other orchestral delights. The Argentinean theme celebrates the Orchestra's upcoming tour this summer and all proceeds from the March 2 gala benefit the Oakland Youth Orchestra.
