The Electric Vandals, an artist collective focused on community involvement, cultural diversity and shameless self-promotion, are back again with their 2nd annual Oakland Arts Clash.

Founded by professionals working within theatrical production, management, and design, the group lends technical expertise and creative vision to Bay Area events large, small and often completely underground. The Vandals are continually pushing for a revival of interest in the local art scene, with an emphasis on the performing arts.

Last years' event garnered local media praise, with the East Bay Express describing lead Vandal Dylan McMillan as “an ambassador for the burgeoning but often-fractious Oakland arts scene." The Arts Clash offers cultural dance performances, an art gallery showcasing local artists' work, and live music spanning an eclectic array of genres. Graffiti, photography and sculpture were presented last year, though the show merely provided a teaser for what is sure to come from this all-star cast of community-forward art activists.
