Burkina Electric, the first electronica band of the West African country of Burkina Faso, presents its Manhattan debut at Joes Pub, October 20th, ending a month-long New York statewide tour. Burkina Electric oscillates fluidly amongst the traditional soundscapes of the African nation of Burkina Faso. From fusions of techno/trip-hop, to rhythms of contemporary electronic dance culture, Burkina Electric is creating what many call a new genre of African electronica.
