NY Night Train/Secret Project Robot's SPOOKY DANCE w/JAMES CHANCE October 29, 2011

New York Night Train celebrates its 6th anniversary and Secret Project Robot/Live With Animals celebrates their new location (389 MELROSE btw Flushing and Knickerbocker in Bushwick) with a reunion of sorts for this supreme Halloween extravaganza going 'til the wee wee hours!

This all-night multimedia dance not only features projected visuals (by the world-famous SECRET PROJECT ROBOT AV CREW!), decor (a haunted crypt by local artists), DJs (the one and only JONATHAN TOUBIN [http://newyorknighttrain.com/soulclap/jtbio.html] spinning exclusively his spookiest and kookiest Halloween 45s with surprise guests!), and even a free first-class astrologer and fortune teller (the magnificent COSMO!), but it also features the following unique combination of live musical entertainment throughout the night:

- JAMES CHANCE AND THE J.C.'S (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Chance) - a full-length sweat drenched set by James Chance's brand new all-star JAMES BROWN COVER BAND led by Chance (Contortions, James White and Blacks, etc.), Ivan Julian (Richard Hell & The Voidoids, etc.), Robert Aaron (prolific avant-jazz band leader who also worked with everyone from B-52s and Blondie to Afrika Bambataa and Wu Tang Clan), Kim Clark (Defunkt and dozens of jazz projects), and Richard Dwarkin (drum maestro of James White and the Blacks, Alex Chilton, & everybody)! downtown musical legends banded together in Bushwick channeling the ghost of the godfather of soul! Believe it!!!

- K-HOLES (http://www.myspace.com/kholes) - members of Black Lips, Golden Triangle, Bezoar, Georgiana Starlington, etc, got together a few years back to form this Brooklyn institution whose clangy swamp howl has come into its own and been heard all over the U.S. An ideal Halloween band!

- HABIBI (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Habibi/217078085001144) - NYC's latest girls from the garage who, within only a couple of months together, have already done a short tour sharing bills with the likes of Hunx & His Punx, Tyvek, & Human Eye and have their debut record coming out on the badass French Born Bad imprint (Cheveu, Wizzz comps, etc.)

- HOT TUB - climb into the bubbling over of warm sound!

- HARIBO - the sweets sounds of this gummy bunch!
