NY Brewfest September 14, 2007

The second annual NY Brewfest presented by Heartland Brewery will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm in New York City at South Street Seaport's Pier 16 & 17. The festival is a celebration of Craft Beer and will showcase samplings from New York State's 58 outstanding breweries. We have also expanded our participating craft breweries this year beyond New York’s state borders to pay homage to outstanding breweries throughout the US, with an emphasis on the northeast region. Attendees will receive a commemorative 4oz glass to sample the over 300 brews that will be present at the festival.

In addition to the selection of craft brews, there will be both food and live music at the event. The festival will be catered by Spanky’s BBQ. The bands that will be performing are the Bagpipe Dudes from Syracuse, NY; the Shelley King Band from Austin, TX; Bernie Clarke and the Rhythm Sharks from upstate NY; the Blue Method from Philadelphia, PA; and the Josh Dion Band from New York, NY.

This event is possible because of our numerous key sponsors, including Heartland Brewery, Spanky’s BBQ, Pride of New York, the New York State Brewers Association, Q 104.3 FM, the L Magazine, Metro, HF&C, Ale Street News, the Onion, and the South Street Seaport Museum. Proceeds from the festival will go to supporting the not-for profit New York State Brewers Association.

Tickets are $40 and are available on-line beginning May 1st. Tickets are also available at any one of the five Heartland Brewery locations in New York City. The ticket price increases to $45 on August 1st. A limited amount of tickets may also be sold at the gate for $50 but are based solely on availability; we are limiting the event to approximately 10,000 attendees. This event sold out last year. We encourage interested parties to purchase tickets in advance; we do anticipate a sell out. All attendees must be 21 or over and have photo ID on the day of the event.
