Holocene is pleased to host the release party for Portland electro-acoustic pop trio Nudge's new album, Cached.Ý Nudge is one of the most consistently challenging and forward-thinking groups in our fair city, and we are honored that they've chosen our space for the unveiling of their latest (and some say greatest) work.

ROLLERBALL
Rollerball continue to sharpen their unique musical vision with the release of their third Silber cd titled Catholic Paws/Catholic Pause. On their 11th album, Rollerball continue pushing the boundaries between song and sound, free and structured, light and darkness. Utilizing every sonic knife in the aural scabbard, Rollerball grafts organic song structure to analog jazz and digital noise. Experimenting. Collaborating. Making beautiful power music that creates emotion and energy. Catholic Paws/Catholic Pause has all the elements that make a Rollerball album so original, the catchy pop songs with tints of goth, the jazz maelstroms and the ambient whimpers.

THE PLANTS
A newer local duo, The Plants consist of Church of Psychedelia creator Josh Blanchard along with life partner Molly Griffith (who has also played with 31 KNOTS and THE PRIDS in the past) Griffith is a longtime student of medieval and early folk musics, and the twosome attempts to combine these sounds with more modern ambient and psychedelic touches.
