National Symphony Orchestra - To Boldly Go...
Emil de Cou, conductor
Leonard Nimoy, narrator

Journey to the final frontier and beyond with Holst's The Planets and music from Star Trek, Star Wars, and other science fiction films, accompanied by stunning images of space.

From Emil de Cou, NSO @ Wolf Trap, Festival Conductor:

"For this exciting concert I have teamed up with Leonard Nimoy to bring Wolf Trap audiences a fresh new narration for Gustav Holst's epic tour of "The Planets" that brings together astronomy, science fiction, and some irreverent fun!

The second half of tonight's program will feature a trip through the history of science fiction and fantasy films and film music, with the inimitable Mr. Nimoy as our tour guide. Star Wars, the Twilight Zone, Close Encounter, The Day the Earth Stood Still and of course, Star Trek ?o boldly go where no man has gone before!"
