NOURishing itself from Middle Eastern polyglot folk traditions, NOUR - Pomegranate in Armenian, Divine Light in Arabic - sings in Armenian, Kurdish, Turkish, Ladino, Arabic, Hebrew, Assyrian, and Greek. The Ex Oriente Lux concert series strives to illuminate the New World with the Divine Light that NOUR brought from the Old one. This concert will be held in honor of Hrant Dink, the Turkish-Armenian journalist who was assasinated in Istanbul last spring and who spoke at the University of Minnesota for the Turkish-Armenian Workshop.
