The symphony is a cultural asset that serves as a unifying force for Northwest Indiana communities and is currently performing its 68th season. The Northwest Indiana Symphony is comprised of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Indiana Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus, and the Womens Association. The orchestra, a group of 75 rostered professional musicians is under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor, Kirk Muspratt. The orchestra plays a full season of subscription concerts, in addition to a number of educational outreach initiatives, designed to allow interaction and personal involvement by students represented in each program.
