North Park, San Diego, CA – Spend the day with your family and friends exploring the historic North Park neighborhood at the 13th Annual North Park Festival of the Arts on Sunday, May 17th, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM along University Avenue between 30th and 32nd streets. This FREE interactive and educational festival with its diverse collection of art, live entertainment, food, activities and much more! Everywhere along University Avenue you will be able to hear a whirlwind of musical delights from San Diego’s hottest live bands, to Latin American groups and from beat-boxers to talented dance troupes. With such an eclectic collection of music gracing all four stages throughout the day, this year’s North Park Festival of the Arts is sure to have something for everyone to enjoy! Take advantage of this unique opportunity to get inspired by the exquisite creations of local artists or explore over 150 specialty booths offering a wide variety of international cuisines, crafts and more. Make sure to stop by the festival of beers featuring a variety of microbrews, catch the Sophia Isadora circus show in the Children’s Art Beat area and have your children engage in the numerous hands-on activities.
