This two day event caters to the nature photographer enthusiasts that visit North Chagrin in the fall that stop by North Chagrin Reservation to capture the beauty of the Wood Duck and fall colors on Sanctuary Marsh. The event is co-sponsored by Dodd Camera and Sony and includes guided photo treks in the mornings and indoor lectures in the afternoons, as well as cameras for loan and experts to give advice on photographic equipment. This coincides with the North Chagrin Nature Photo Contest and displays where annually over 100 photos are entered and judged.

Registration and a $5 fee is required for each photo trek. Space is limited, registration begins October 1.

North Chagrin Nature Photography Contest
The photographic pieces must be 8”x10” to 11”x14,” framed and no larger than 18”x22” ready-to-hang prints of wildlife, macro and close-up and landscape photography of Northeast Ohio. Prizes will be awarded in each category and in two divisions: A) adults and B) children, 17 & under. Awards will be given for Best of Show, and first place, second place, third place, along with honorable mentions in each category and each division. Click here for entry form.
The top 100 photos from the 2012 Photography Contest will be on display from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and visitors will be able to vote for their favorite photo.
Dodd Camera and Sony will be available to answer questions and allow participants to try some of the newest photographic equipment from the hottest digital SLR cameras to large format printers, too.
North Chagrin Nature Center is located off Buttermilk Falls Parkway, off the Sunset Lane entrance of North Chagrin Reservation, off SOM Center Road/Route 91 in Mayfield Village – south of the I-90/Route 91 exit.
