Nicoletto performs to benefit AIDS Walk New York 2006 May 12, 2006

Derek Nicoletto, lead singer of New York-based funk-rock band Nicoletto, has ridden over 1,200 miles in AIDS Rides and walked in several AIDS Walks. This year, on May 12, at 8:00 p.m. sharp, Nicoletto will perform with his band at CODA, 34 East 34th Street, Manhattan, to raise money through the $12 door charge for teams walking this year?s AIDS Walk New York.

Last year, Derek Nicoletto raised over $1,000 dollars to become a star walker. This year, Nicoletto has found a more personal way to deliver the message, apart from the typical fundraising letter. All of Nicoletto?s fans will come together for a great show and a cause close to Nicoletto?s heart.

Nicoletto is a fiesty New York bluesy-rock project. A Freddie Mercury-type voice with a Black Crowes soul leads the band's fun and funky groove. Nicoletto plays crowd-pleasing originals with humor and humanity, as well as inventive spins on famous covers.
