Nicole Czapinski: Thread Through May 12, 2007

'Thread Through,' an interactive performance piece by Pittsburgh artist Nicole Czapinski, attempts to reveal the creative process. A large wooden frame, stretched with sheer fabric, is suspended from the ceiling and anchored to the floor, with a box of colored thread next to it. In addition to the performance, there will be eight smaller semi-transparent screens or frames on display around the gallery, each illustrating ways in which line and sculptural forms are manipulated with thread.
