As the co-founder and producer at Stiff Records, Nick Lowe created the blueprint for the modern indie rock label, and helped usher in British punk and new wave, helming historic recordings including New Rose by The Damned - widely accepted as the first ever indie single.

Perhaps best known for his songs (I Love The Sound of) Breaking Glass, (What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, And Understanding and Cruel to Be Kind, Lowe’s celebrated music career has stretched for over 40 years. September 2011 sees the release The Old Magic, his first new album in over four years, while his first two albums Labour of Lust and Jesus of Cool were reissued earlier in the year.
