Juilliard’s Historical Performance program season continues with guest conductor and early music specialist Nicholas McGegan leading the student ensemble, Juilliard415, on Saturday, November 20 at 8 PM in Alice Tully Hall. The program features Carl Heinrich Graun’s Overture to Cleopatra e Cesare; Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Flutes in C Major, RV 533 with Juilliard flutists Emi Ferguson and Christopher Matthews; and G.F. Handel’s rarely-performed cantata, Clori, Tirsi e Fileno, HWV 96, with sopranos Deanna Breiwick and
Lauren Snouffer, and mezzo-soprano Carla Jablonski. Maestro McGegan stays on at Juilliard for a few extra days to conduct the Juilliard Orchestra in works by Handel, Haydn, Elgar, and Britten on Monday, November 22 at 8 PM in Alice Tully Hall.
