Niagara Glen Nature Reserve
Niagara Falls, Ontario

Ontario Nature's Volunteer for Nature program and the Niagara Parks
Commission would like to invite you to join us in helping to preserve
the Niagara Glen Nature Reserve; a Carolinian forest that contains one of the largest concentrations of species-at-risk found anywhere in
Canada. Come out Friday September 12 to the Niagara Glen in Niagara Falls to help preserve this special place by marking hiking trails and closing unsanctioned spur trails to keep visitors' feet on the path and away from its vulnerable habitats and species. If time permits, we may also remove invasive European Buckthorn that is threatening the habitat of the rare Dusky Salamander. Participation is free for this day long event and you can expect some physical work as well as a high level of enjoyment and satisfaction.
