DEF LEPPARD, the world’s greatest arena rock band, will take to the stage at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on Oct. 9 to headline NHL Face-Off Rocks 2008, an opening day spectacular celebrating the start of the 2008-09 National Hockey League (NHL) season and the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings.

Def Leppard, who has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide, will perform an exclusive arena rock show at the Fox Theatre featuring their smash hits and songs from their latest album Songs From The Sparkle Lounge as part of NHL Face-Off Rocks 2008, including the band’s hockey-inspired newest hit single “C’mon, C’mon.”

Fans in attendance also will be treated to a live broadcast of the sold-out Red Wings home opener, including the Stanley Cup Championship banner-raising ceremony, making NHL Face-Off Rocks 2008 a great opportunity for Red Wings fans to celebrate their team.

A soon-to-be-announced musical guest will join the celebration for a special performance via satellite. A deejay will entertain the audience between performances and during the game.
