The Next Net meeting will take place next week at the Brunel University 'Bit Lab' in Uxbridge, West London on Thursday 18th January.

We will be welcoming people from 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start, when Peter Broadbent will be talking about his research work on "A scalable, distributed architecture for real-time video encoding" which will include some discussion of the use of Jini to coordinate and distribute the encoding process.

Refreshment will be available, and the talk is expected to last 30-40 minutes. Following questions, the meeting is expected to relocate to the Brunel Student Union bar for further refreshments.

Parking is available next to the Bit Lab.

If you are getting the train to West Drayton station , we recommend LHR taxis (01895 444333) and from Uxbridge station we suggest Alltime taxis, (01895234234). Ask to be taken to the Cleveland Road Entrance of Brunel. Journey is 5-8 minutes.
