The Newspeak Ensemble is an eight-member, amplified new music ensemble. Originally founded in 2001, Newspeak has always actively sought a fusion of art music and social engagement. The current New York-based ensemble, founded in 2004, derives its sound from the energy and performance practice of rock music, contemporary improvisation and comtemporary notated compositions. Threeve is a band of brothers that travels the land playing rock 'n' roll music, in a fashion similar to that of The Partridge Family, but not nearly as cool. Hailing from southern Bergen County in the great state of New Jersey, Threeve sets out with a sound that is welcome to ears eager for something new, while cleverly forgetting to sound like everyone else.
