New York Theater Ballet: Signatures 11 February 12, 2011

New York Theatre Ballet will revive Merce Cunningham's classic 'Septet' during 'Signatures 11.' Called a "rarity" in his canon by Cunningham Company archivist David Vaughan, 'Septep' is set to 'Trois Morceaux en Forme de Poire' by Erik Satie. New York Theatre Ballet will also perform Antony Tudor's 'Soiree Musicale.' The classic ballet, danced to a suite of Rossini melodies arranged by Benjamin Britten, premiered at London's Palladium Theatre in 1938. A brief question & answer session moderated by NYTB Artistic Director Diana Byer will take place after each performance.
