Join us on the beach in Half Moon Bay as we celebrate the New Year and raise money for AIDS with a full day's schedule of events including a yoga session, dance class, drum circle, potluck feast and more (barefoot boogie on the beach - weather providing).

The event is organized and sponsored by Jacqueline Parsons of Soul Moves, which offers paths to creative change through transpersonal practices and movement-based expressive arts using the healing power of dance, nature, art, sound, and practices for inner journeys, personal growth, and well-being. All proceeds benefit the non-profit organization Grassroots Alliance for Community Education (G.R.A.C.E.), founded by Natasha Martin, long time activist in AIDS prevention and healing.

The event is on January 1, 2007 at the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society located at the Douglas Beach House on Miramar Beach, Half Moon Bay, California. Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society is a non-profit organization for jazz and the musical arts.

Schedule of events for January 1:
11 am - 12 noon with Yoga with local teacher SHEILA GILL
12 noon - 1pm beginning Afro-Cuban Dance-Rumba with IDALMIS ROMERO VALDES
1:00pm Opening Activity /Setting your personal intentions and goals for the New Year
1:30 pm New Year's Ceremony Drum/Walk/Dance on the beach-front location
2:45 pm Community Potluck Feast/Music/Social hour
3:45 pm closing blessings and invocations

A video documenting the GRACE in Africa story will be available for viewing throughout the day. Dress in warm, comfortable clothing. All white attire or white flowers are traditional, but not required. Musical instruments are encouraged. Suggested minimum donation is $14, families are welcome. All donations are tax-deductible. Please bring your favorite main dish or dessert to share. Please RSVP by December 30 to Jacqueline Parsons.

Suggested donation is $14 and up - no one turned away due to lack of funds.
