NTDTV’s 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular, scheduled to tour more than 50 major cities worldwide and expected to attract a live audience of over 500,000, will come to San Diego on January 15-17, 2008 to the California Center for the Arts in Escondido! Divine Performing Arts as the main force will showcase the true traditional Chinese culture with pure truthfulness, pure compassion, and pure beauty, without any Communist Party culture.

New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV), a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, is the largest independent Chinese-language broadcaster. The NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular show has become the world’s largest Chinese performance series since its first launch in 2004!

Rated by Billboard as the top 7th show in Feb. 2006, the Spectacular has graced the stages of the most prestigious theatres in the world, including Radio City Music Hall in New York, Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, and Le Palais des
Congres in Paris.

With unforgettable artistry inspired by the legends that have shaped China’s 5000-year history, the Spectacular goes beyond entertainment to a realm of pageantry that the world has not seen since the days of the great emperors.

Through high-tech set design, colorful costumes, and choreography created exclusively for this show, China’s history comes to life in this gorgeous performance that is both entertaining and inspiring.

Presented in both Chinese and English, the Chinese New Year Spectacular has enchanted more than 200,000 live audiences in 32 major cities around the world, with 82 performances for the 2007 season.
