New Jersey Symphony: Two Pianos: Two Sisters October 30, 2009

Schumann's fiery overture makes a fine lead-in to Poulenc's lighthearted, jazz-influenced double concerto, played by twin sisters: Christina and Michelle Naughton. Brahms composed his second symphony while visiting the Austrian Alps; abundant in flowing melodies, it finds the composer in a cheerful and expansive mood.
