NEW! Flamenco Dance workshop begins on December 2nd December 2, 2008

Learn Tangos Gitano in the style performed in the caves of Granada. The workshop takes place Tuesday night and Saturday afternoon in December 2008 and January 2009. Taught by fiery flamenco dancer/teacher/choreographer Katerina Tomás and accompanied by guitar virtuoso Stephen Dick "Esteban de Los Angeles," the class focuses on: manos filigranas (beautiful hands) braceo (arms), zapateado (footwork), body work in the style of the Granada Gypsies, and more! We will learn a complete choreography by the end of January. We will also learn cantes (flamenco songs) and letras (lyrics) for two beautiful Granada flamenco tangos.

Tuesdays, 8:30-9:30pm
Fees: $52 for 4 classes
Saturdays, 3:30-4:45pm
Fees: $16 drop in rate; $60 for 4 classes; $110 for 8 classes.

+$3 accompaniment fee each class

Bring:
Flamenco skirts (women) and flamenco shoes or boots to every class.
