ACT III: UBIQUITA NYC 8TH ANNIVERSARY
Co-Presented by Harlem Stage and UBIQUITA NYC

SUN, NOVEMBER 9, 2008, 7:00PM - 10:00PM

UBIQUITA NYC celebrates its 8th Anniversary with NATURAL PROGRESSION:
ACT III, an abstract, multi-medium, and multi-genre narrative inspired by the Black arts underground・renaissance from the early 90s to the present in NYC and other key cities around the globe. Set to the music of critically acclaimed performance artist and vocalist Imani Uzuri and Soul/Jazz Fusion Icons Fertile Ground, NATURAL PROGRESSION charts the individual artist's journey towards discovering a unique, creative community, as told through live music, dance, and the word.

The production will also debut three original dance pieces by acclaimed choreographer Camille A. Brown as well as featuring a veritable Who's Who in the evolution of spoken word including Sharif Simmons, Iowan Tribal, Brad Walrond and others. Produced by Executive Producer and Artistic Director, Kimberly Knox of UBIQUITA WORLDWIDE and co-producer Greg Tate, founding member of the Black Rock Coalition, a writer at the Village Voice and the leader of the Burnt Sugar Chamber Ensemble.
