For this innovative cross artHform project, the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland's contemporary
chamber ensemble, NYOS Futures, collaborates with artists working in a variety of media to produce a truly unique, live audiovisual experience. NYOS Futures will perform stunning orchestrations, composed in response to a collection of immersive visual arts projects, combining elements of film, photography, animation, electronic surroundHsound design, story telling and live performance.

This vibrant performance event explores notions of vanishing boundaries: real or imagined; past or present; local or global.

As part of a special composition competition open to all University of Salford students, the winning work by Steve Kilpatrick with video by Andras Ridovics will be performed at this event in Salford to be repeated the following evening at the Arches in Glasgow, Monday 21st February.

An important partner in this unique project is Glasgow based cross arts journal 'The Drouth'www.thedrouth.org/. A 'Burns Night' Issue is coordinated to share themes with this event and copies
will be available on the night of each concert.
