“Arthur Duncan is America’s greatest living tap dance treasure.” Dancer Mag

This globe-trotting entertainer and regular of 15 years on "The Lawrence Welk Show" has thrilled audiences the world over with his fancy footwork and lively singing style. In addition to record-setting nightclub appearances, Arthur has appeared on national television with other such legends as Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis and Red Skelton.

Whether it's the movie "TAP" with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis, Jr. or television's "DIAGNOSIS OF MURDER" with Dick Van Dyke, the National Tour of "MY ONE AND ONLY" with Tommy Tune, his recent award winning film “Tap Heat”, the Flo Bert Award, Traditions in Tap Award or his many live concert appearances, Arthur Duncan proves again he's America’s greatest living tap treasure.

Donald O’Connor
“When I see Rosie I think there goes the true spirit of San Francisco” Dianne Feinstein

Tap Dance Day is a San Francisco tradition kicked off by Rosie in 1976 when she tap danced across the Golden Gate Bridge and proclaimed the first Tap Dance Day.

For 31 consecutive years the Mayor of San Francisco has made it official. San Franciscans are proud of saying “Tap Dance Day was born and raised in San Francisco.”

In 1989 congressman John Conyers and the United States Congress made it official.

Since 1990 over 300 cities world wide have celebrated National Tap Dance Day.

Please join us as we continue to celebrate this wonderful American art form.
