National Meatball Weekend at IKEA Schaumburg March 8, 2012

IKEA Schaumburg, The Life Improvement Store, is hosting a special in-store event to celebrate the iconic Swedish Meatball. March 9 is National Meatball Day, and IKEA Schaumburg is celebrating by creating a three-day event full of unique experiences for meatball lovers and their friends and family. National Meatball Weekend is full of unique IKEA offerings, including:

• Free meatball memorabilia
• Make-your-own-meatball plate kids activity at 11am and 2pm each day
• Meatball specials in the third floor restaurant and first floor bistro
• Win a $500 IKEA Gift Card with our meatball recipe competition

Create your own unique recipe featuring IKEA frozen meatballs. Purchase a bag today and take them home to create your own dish. Put them in a casserole, add to a soup, or glaze and serve them with ‘fava beans and a nice Chianti.’ Recipe submissions will be judged based upon creativity and overall use of the meatball.
