National Health, Wellness & Prevention Congress May 8, 2006

The National Health, Wellness and Prevention Congress (NHWPC), co-located with The 2005 Spring Consumer Directed Health Care Conference and the Tenth Annual IPA Association Conference will address the future of wellness and prevention in America along with the current global health and environment issues that need to be considered in order to decrease chronic illness, encourage healthy behaviors and improve health status. We will evaluate what measures exist today to prevent or delay much of the chronic disease burden and curtail its devastating consequences. The National Health Wellness and Prevention Congress (www.nhwpc.com) will bring together stakeholders from the public and private sector, national and local public health leaders, large and small business, healthcare organizations, the burgeoning fitness industry, developers and marketers of cutting edge technologies that impact nutritional status, physical fitness and the latest treatment and prevention protocols for chronic disease. The Congress will also address environmental issues and healthcare access on both the national and global fronts. Experts will debate the implications for wellness and prevention with the changing shape of healthcare delivery and fiscal responsibility being driven by adoption of consumer driven health plans.
