National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Orange County 3rd Annual "NAMIWalks for the Mind of America" October 6, 2007

National Mental Illness Awareness Week is October 7-13.
NAMI Orange County will be holding their 3rd Annual NAMIWalks for the Mind of America at the Huntington Beach Pier on Saturday, Oct 6, 2007 at
8 a.m. This is a 5K Walk. No registration fee required.

This is a nationwide fundraising and mental health awareness program. All the proceeds from this Walk will be used to fund NAMI programs in Orange County. NAMI Orange County offers family support groups, educational classes, provides community outreach, advocates for better mental health legislation, supports research efforts and works to educate the public to reduce stigma.
Their goal is to raise 175,000.
