Market Street Gallery is pleased to present "Narrative Visions/Clay onto Art," an invitational selection of seven contemporary ceramic artists with special emphasis in exploring "narrative content" onto clay sculpture. "Content," by definition, is storytelling, a narrative, often the journey of a self reflection in universal stories.

Market Street Gallery will showcase a contemporary look at ceramic artists making sculpture that pushes the content of narrative visions of storytelling onto clay. Five "featured" artists from the Bay Area along with an introduction of two emerging will be exhibited June 4-30th, 2010. Opening reception is June 11th, 6-9, Friday night. Closing reception is June 25th, 6-9PM, Friday night. Artists will give a short talk abut their work at both receptions. Exhibition curators are Maggie Malloy and Natasha Dikareva.

Market Street Gallery exhibits work of established and emerging artists of the San Francisco Bay Area. Exhibitions include all categories of work, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, fashion, street art, installation art and film and video media.

Located in the Hayes Valley neighborhood near the corners of Market St. and Van Ness Blvd., the gallery is one of several in the area that are within walking distance of each other. Muni access: Civic Center Station.
