Napa Valley Festival del Sole – Opening Night Gala July 13, 2012

The festival’s seventh season kicks off with a majestic opening night concert and dinner at Castello di Amorosa, a medieval-style Tuscan castle in the hills of Napa Valley.

The luxurious evening begins with a wine reception atop the castle tower, overlooking breathtaking vineyard views. Guests will then enter the Castello’s beautiful and acoustically-inspired central courtyard for a concert featuring celebrated mezzo-soprano Susan Graham and the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra performing a selection of Handel arias under the baton of Nicholas McGegan.

Following the concert, Gala VIPs enter Castello's Grand Barrel Room, where Founding Benefactors Tatiana and Gerret Copeland, proprietors of Bouchaine Vineyards, will host a lavish dinner complemented by fine wines from Bouchaine Vineyards and Castello di Amorosa.

Allegro pass holders enjoy a rockin’ After Party at Caldwell Snyder Gallery in nearby St. Helena, where the evening continues with a live rock 'n' roll performance by “The Fabulous Screwtops,” tastings of Alpha Omega wine, and an assortment of food and new friendships.
