The Mystery of Irma Vep' by Charles Ludlam is a gothic thriller in the spirit of 'Rebecca' and 'Wuthering Heights.' The play draws on a wealth of familiar images from suspense films such as 'Gaslight' and classic horror movies such as 'The Mummy's Tomb.' On a stage filled with a sympathetic werewolf, a ghostly vampire, a deceased first wife and the reincarneted mummy of a long dead Egyptian princess, the leads in this production play eight different roles in a wild, quick-change marathon.
