(New York, NY) ? Books of Wonder, New York City?s largest independent children?s bookseller, is pleased to host MYSTERY MAYHEM with this year?s Edgar Allen Poe Award Nominees. Every year, the Mystery Writer?s of America announces the nominees for the "Edgars,? named after the great American writer who is credited with being the father of the mystery novel.

This year, Books of Wonder has the honor of introducing the 2005 Edgar Award Nominees for Best Juvenile and Young Adult fiction. The nominees represent authors of distinguished work as chosen by the premiere association for mystery writers and mystery fans in America. It?s a rare treat for the public to meet so many heralded mystery authors at the same time.

Scheduled to appear are EDWARD BLOOR, author of Story Time, DOROTHY & THOMAS HOOBLER, authors of In Darkness, Death; PEG KEHRET, author of Abduction!; KATE MORGENROTH, author of JUDE; MARCUS SEDGWICK, author of The Book of Days; three-time Newbery Award-Winning Author ZILPHA KEATLY SNYDER, author of The Unseen; and LEE WEATHERLY, author of Missing Abby.

Each of these award-winning authors will give a brief presentation, followed by a question and answer session, and then will be on hand until 7 pm to sign copies of all of their riveting novels.
