Four years in, you may find yourself feeling like you’re hearing the same stuff about the war in Iraq over and over again—U.S. casualties, IEDs, car bombs, Sunni, Shia . . . all these words seem like faint echoes of themselves. Come listen to an evening of audio programs about the Iraq War and the larger “war on terror.” These are stories you haven’t heard before, stories that are sad, stories that are funny, stories about how ordinary citizens are dealing with the state of things. Hear about an American civilian who became so depressed over the policies of the Bush administration that he tried to get refugee status in Canada. Listen to a number of Arab students go off about America and explain how Arab countries are actually more peaceful than our own. Hear about numerous sightings of Osama Bin Laden himself—not by military officials, but by regular Americans living right here in the U.S.
