'My Favorite Year' goes back to 1954 and the Golden Age of television with its eccentric gallery of characters to follow the story of a washed-up, swashbuckling film actor who is scheduled to make an appearance on the "Comedy Cavalcade" - if the stewed hambone can stay sober and off the front pages long enough. It is a wonderfully retro Broadway musical-comedy.
